JTS and other stuff!
Yo ppl!
I have acceded to some of you ppl's request for chalet and I checked the NSRCC website for booking details. There are some vacancies left but the price is exorbitant due to SUPER PEAK PERIOD (eve. of GD FRIDAY!) :$380 (non-citizens) $336(SAFRA members). We can ONLY book 1 week before that period. (according to the website. Quoted: * Please be informed that 1 night booking is allowed 2 week prior to the check-in date for off-peak and 1 week for peak and super-peak periods. If you need assistance, kindly call Bungalow Reception at 65422036.) If you got other places to suggest, PLEASE POST ON THE BLOG(why no one responding de?!)
The confirmed choice of dinner is BBQ. Hence, we will be purchasing a package for the BBQ on JTS. Here's some vendors that provide the packages.
EZB: approx. $281 - $400 for 30-35 ppl
BBQ House: approx. $173++ for 20 pax
Please check out theses vendors for the detailed list of food included. If you have better suggestions, PLEASE POST ON THE BLOG (AGAIN!) Venue will be @ my house, UNLESS you want to have it at some park or whatsoever.
If we're proceeding with just the BBQ, I would also like to know whether you want to have the JTS on 20 Mar itself (directly after Fac CIP) or on 21 Mar. Please inform let us know on Monday!
As you guys have known (or not), Wenbo and I will be in charge of the class for the Fac CIP! Hurray! We might get someone to assist us on that day as both of us will be attending the Prize Presentation on that day. Not to worry for now (c'mon it's during TERM 2!).
Lastly, the display for public awareness has finally ended on 29th Feb (not a bad day, it's a leap year!). I would like to thank Guo Jun, the overall in-charge for the poster design, as well as to the whole class for contributing information and giving support! Many thanks!

Inter-CT Blog Competition Matters and stuff
Yo ppl!
Please stay back at CT bench for a while after CT session tomorrow. We need to take some photos for the competition as well as to discuss some stuff/ ideas about it! Please try and bring cameras tomorrow as well!
As for JTS, I have just checked the chalet bookings @ Aloha Loyang and it seems all bookings are full on 20,21 and 22 Mar. If you have any other places to suggest, please post it on the blog! Otherwise, we will have to just ahead with the BBQ alone.
Photos for 02 will be uploaded soon! Do check back later!
Thanks!

Inter-CT Blogging Competition
Hey 08S63s!
Believe you had heard about the this competition via SMB or whatsoever! So I shall cut straight into the details. We've already started planning the design of the blog and we would really appreciate if those who are experienced in BLOGGING DESIGN/ IT WEBDESIGN to step out and assist us! (C'mon you want that extra 5% in your overall score rite?)
THEME: Live with Passion (err.. okay? don't we see it on the top of Blk A everyday?)
We will discuss about the details as soon as possible (not on the blog! ideas get koped everyday ya noe). We are beginning to take some photos tomorrow to come out with the concept arts for everybody to take a look at. Please bring cameras tmr if possible (juz try all cameras la!)
IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS/ IDEAS that coincides with the theme for this year, do voice it out here or during break times! Most importantly, the whole class must agree on the idea.
Please also help look out for blogs with excellent web elements (MUSIC PLAYER/ MINI-PICTURE SLIDESHOW/ JAVASCRIPT etc.) or design that we may adapt from and post the url on the blog!
Thanks!

Information on Courses n Stuff!
Hey people,
Just did a random search for vendors n stuff and listed down a few vendors for GEMS or stuff that you may just want to join during your recreational time (preferably as a CLIQUE, its cheaper seriously):
Art of Music (Music n Dance stuff - collaborated with HwaChong before!): http://www.theartofmusic.com.sg/
Muay Thai ($20 per person according to website): http://www.muaythai.com.sg/programs.php
Horseriding: http://www.btsc.org.sg/
Plz help contribute to this list! esp. for courses in CCs which would be much cheaper!

"class meets new classmates" time in O2
dramafeste is coming up and wishing all actors and stage crew all the best on thursday and especially friday the judging day. quite a few of us will be there to give u our support YAY! own the whole LT!!! whoots...
orientation 2 is coming up as well, so be prepared to meet new classmates and have fun together! btw fyi let us all celebrate the fact that rachel has been successful in her appeal and will be coming back to hwachong!!! WOO HOO!!! i believe everyone will be very happy for her! =)
so all of us will be having a meet-together session just like the one we had with our senior class during orientation where we played the pollo sweet game and meisiew and xiaoming did the pole dance thingy. so it will be during O2 (orientation2) from 10.30am to 11.30am.
so so far based on feedback from ppl at the class bench, there are a list of activities we may consider to do during this time. and i believe it will most likely be and indoors thing because u cant do much in 1 hour outdoors:
1. name-introducing to know each others names.
2. then we'll play 给我Tempo Ready Go to reinforce our memory on our new frens names
then we play some more action-based, exciting games(just a tentative list to decide on the day):
3. tanks & commanders - some interesting game involving lots of aiming, communication and backstabbing i learnt from string ensemble orientation. it involves a pair, in which one is a tank with his eyes blindfolded and the commander who is not blindfolded. items will be scattered around the floor and the commander must command his tank to pick things and throw at other tanks to get them our of the game.
OR
4. wacko/大风吹
5. there are 2 teams and a large cloth separates the 2 teams. every round, each team must send representatives forward. when the cloth is pulled down, they must shout out the other person's name/cca. the the slowest one losest and team that is the least laggest wins i.e. the lagger team has to do forfeit. the game can be played with 2 or 3 ppl on each side too.
OR any other better games u can suggest!
in these games we cant miss the forfeits, so based on popular demand, we shall consider playing the pollo sweet/pocky stick passing game so the rest can laugh and take photos of the unlucky ones in action.
also at the same time please help think of more evil and fun forfeits. find smaller sweets/snacks to pass around too! muahahahazzz. if u have any better suggestions for games please feedback too! looking forward to yr contributions.
and actually to start off the session with a big laugh, we can actually show them the indian dance item we performed for artemis during the campfire!!! LOL it will liven up the atmosphere before we start the games =)))
have fun!

Yo 08s63-ians!
Since GEMS is a compulsory thing (which should not dampen your mood, it's a class affair!), how bout we start discussing about the activities we want? Feel free to post yr suggestions in the chatbox! Best to raise up unique yet interesting suggestions!
Suggestions:
Basic Dialogue Sessions (Hokkien/ Cantonese/ Teochew/ Hainanese n bla bla bla) (C'mon noe yr dialect!)
Sports and Recreational Activities (Highly recommended! Not the meng one though) e.g. Rollerblading etc.
Skill-based/ Arts-related: Beatboxing, Cookery (be specific), Rapping, Music instrument lessons etc.
Have a great weekend!
